Rochester Hills Public Library (RHPL) and Rochester Writers will showcase Local Authors for the Fifth Annual Rochester Author Fair on Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Book lovers from across metro Detroit can delight in finding new authors, meeting with favorite writers, and perhaps catching some writing inspiration of their own at the Fifth Annual Rochester Author & Book Fair hosted by Rochester Writers and Rochester Hills Public Library.
Twenty authors will be on hand to discuss their books and their love of writing. The event features a mix of traditionally published and indie published authors from a variety of genres. This popular local literary event takes place in the library’s Multipurpose Room from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Small Business Saturday, November 25.
Authors may submit an online application to be considered for the 2023 event. Authors need to have a website, be active on social media, and submit a high resolution head shot. Traditional, indie, and self-published authors are welcome to apply. Authors must be available to run their table during the hours of the event, provide their own method to sell books, take payment, and make change. The space is free for accepted authors. Over 100 authors apply each year, but only 20 can participate in the event. We like to have a diversity of genres with both new and seasoned authors represented. Applications accepted until 5:00 p.m. on July 31, 2023. Accepted authors will be notified in September.
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Visitors are welcome to visit the authors throughout the run of the event.
